Forbes magazine has just voted Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan the most bankable star from Bollywood in Hollywood.
And this, just when the desi media has been carping about her abbreviated role in her latest Hollywood release Pink Panther 2.
Aishwarya has been voted among Forbes’ “Most Valuable Actors” ahead of Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Irrfan Khan.
Aishwarya Rai turns an international villain

The buzz is that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s not just a hanger-on in the international film ‘Pink Panther 2’. The latest is that Ash doesn’t really have two minutes of screen space as rumoured earlier. The buzz the movie would be incomplete without her role as the actress is apparently playing the main villain in the movie.
A source close to the unit of the movie has apparently said, “She is actually the one who steals the Pink Panther diamond, and in the end, Steve Martin finds out.”
The role that Ash plays is that of Sonia Solandres, a criminology expert, in the film and she’s a part of the team of detectives who are trying to find the Pink Panther diamond.
But reportedly towards the end, Inspector Clouseau figures out that Sonia, played by Ash, is the real culprit and no criminology expert.
The source adds, “The climax has a fight scene where Ash even kicks some butt and tries to flee. But eventually, she gets caught and is put behind bars.”
Well, so ‘Khakee’ ain’t the only film where Ash plays a bad girl! We just hope the international audience don’t forget her villainous act way too soon.
