Shahid Kapoor dancing on Jiah’s tune
The cute guy has been linked to many actresses and this time around it’s Jiah Khan who’s all set to make Shahid dance on her tunes.
Well, before you reach the conclusion that Jiah is the new lady in Shahid’s life, let us clear the air. We are only talking about director Ken Ghosh’s Yahoo. Interestingly, Shahid who is known to be one of the best dancers in Bollywood will be seen playing Jiah’s student in the film.
This is for the first time that Jiah and Shahid are paired opposite each other. The film is based on dancing and Shahid portrays a passionate dancer with Jiah playing his dance guru.
Jiah admits, “Yes I play a choreographer in this beautiful love story. Shahid is like an institute of dance by himself and in this film I am teaching him how to dance.” This is something hard to believe but yes, Shahid will be seen learning his dance steps from Jiah.
So how has Jiah prepared herself to match steps with the dancer Shahid?
“It’s definitely tough to keep up with Shahid but I have been dancing since the time I was six so I have been trained in lot of dance forms. We have choreographers from Hollywood. They have really made us feel like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in the music videos so I am really excited about that.”
Jiah Khan does a J-Lo in Ghajini
Super admaker Ravi Udyawar makes his not-so-quiet Bollywood entry with a sizzling song that he has directed for Ghajini featuring Jiah Khan. And Jiah loved doing the latka-jhatkas.
Like her Londoner-sister Katrina Kaif, Jiah Khan thinks and acts in English. So when she had to speak lengthy rhetorical emotional dialogues for Ghajini and that too in sync sound, Jiah found herself in trouble. “I must admit it was a bit of a problem. Aamir and the director got me an Urdu dialogue coach, Athar Nawaz who guided me. And each time I’d be stuck with a line Aamir helped me out.
Besides my mom who lives in London flew down during the shooting. She speaks Urdu fluently. She ran through the dialogues with me over and over again. I think I’ve done my lines very well.
To have my lines dubbed would take away from my performance. I think I managed my lines well.”
The latka jhatka was also easy. “Like the Urdu-Hindi I’ve mastered the dancing to a large extent.”
Jiah has shot a song in Ghajini with choreographer Gita Kapoor that ad maker Ravi Udyawar has directed. “I realized how hard it is to do a sizzling hot song.
The song in Ghajini called Lattoo is a very Jennifer Lopez kind of number. It’s very stylish and chic. In a week’s time it goes on air. That should answer the question why I’m not seen in the publicity.”
