Take a spoonful of Nagarjuna. Set him in gently into a mix of action, drama, amazing special effects, a sizzling dose of Anushka, with some tight screenplay, slick dialogues, and haute song and dance sequences. Now take a pinch of Raghava Lawrence and mix it. What you get is a potion that promises to be a sureshot action-packed amazing Bollywood entertainer. This is the formula for Don No 1, a film that stars Nagarjuna, and with the potential like Rajni-starer Sivaji, threatens to dethrone all the
Bollywood’s existing Don records, coming to Indian theatres on March 7.
What makes a mass movie a real fultoo entertainer is the production values and the mounting, And Don No 1 staring Nagarjuna, is one film that will go down in history for its amazing mounting. Nagarjuna emerges as the Real Don No 1 challenging to dethrone Big B, whom even apna SRK could not budge from his seat. The film is a grosser own south, and raking in over 60 core in
just six weeks in no easy task. And the collections seem to be only ever-growing.
The story goes thus. Surya [Nagarjuna] is an orphan who rescues some street children from the clutches of a drug peddler. One of them happens to be Raghava Lawrence. They all become his followers and as Surya grows up to become a Don. Raghava assists the don in his work, and in turn Surya treats Raghava as his younger brother.
There is a difference in the portrayal of this film Don. Unlike other dons who are bad guys in the films, this Don is a soft natured, honest and caring for everyone guy. He assists the people in distress and ensures that everybody is happy under his ruling, thus emerging to th modern day Robinhood of sorts.
Enter the villain, Stephen aka Sikandar (Kelly Dorjee) who is an international famed DON and after expanding his so called mafia kingdom, he eyes India. He approaches Surya and lures him to join him as a partner. But Surya understands the evil intentions of the Stephen and refuses him. This irks Stephen, and his anger sets him to eliminate Surya and sets up a trap to kill him and expand his mafia empire.
The rest of the story revolves how Surya shields himself from Stephen and how he eliminates Stephen and saves the Andhra Pradesh and his followers. The climax is very interesting and must be watched on the silver screen
Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna has performed as Surya the DON and looks very stylish with his lavish costumes. He justifies his part well and has done a good work. The character of his has been properly carved keeping in mind about his image. His dances and his expressions and of course his action skills is a sure to watch and highlight of this movie.
Raghava Lawrence on the other hand looks good in Direction and acting department and also as usual his dance talent is very well exposed. He manages to ignite some comedy and also manages to extract some laughter from the audience with some situational comedy.
The villain is perfectly apt and the director has done a good job by not casting any of the usual villains. Kelly is making his debut in Telugu industry. He has justified his character. Anushka’s role is a sure sizzler and supports Nagarjuna well.
Music is again by Raghava Lawrence. The fights are fast-paced and are shot like in the Hollywood film matrix style and the violence is well-controlled. All in all, a sure visual treat.

It’s a mad, mad, mad world out there
Someone’s nutty about money …
Someone’s deranged by power…
Someone’s cracked with stress…
Someone’s unhinged by overwork…
Someone’s insanely in love….
It’s a mad, mad, mad world out there
And everybody’s worried they’re going bananas….
Except the Krazzy 4
Because they know they’re already Krazzy!
Raja’s anger knows no bounds, he’ll hit out at the slightest provocation or even without.
Intermittent explosive disorder is what the doctors call it. ‘Sarphira’, is what everybody else does!
Dr Mukherjee is your perfect doc – clean and orderly, not a pin out of place. So what’s wrong with that? Obsessive compulsive personality disorder, that’s what.
Schizophrenic Gangadhar lives in the past…his mates are Nehru and Gandhi, Tilak and Patel! He’s so busy fighting for swaraj and freedom, he’s lost his sanity!
Cute Dabboo is everybody’s pet. So what if he hasn’t spoken for years? So what if he’s frightened all the time? So what if he’s autistic?
Dr Sonali treats them all. She has faith that all it needs is a little time and lots of patience to make them normal…to make them part of the mad, mad, mad world out there…
But are the Krazzy 4 ready for the world?
And is the world ready for them?
Watch out! The Krazzy 4 are coming your way!!
And yes…If you think they r crazy, think again!
Juhi Chawla is Dr Sonali. As a psychiatric she knows what’s wrong with her patients; as a sensitive woman she firmly believes that if you really want to make them well, you should treat them with your heart, not just your mind.
Arshad Warsi is Raja. Truly the angry young man! His blood boils, his fists clench and he’s ready to beat the daylights out of anyone who upsets him in some way.
Irrfan Khan is Dr Mukherjee. He has decided that he’s the Captain of the team! But so obsessed is he by the need to be in control of a situation, he doesn’t realise he’s totally lost control of himself and his mind.
Rajpal Yadav is Gangadhar. He’s marching to a beat only he can hear; he’s fighting for a cause that’s long over. But in his muddled mind he’s still fighting for Swaraj; still hobnobbing with the likes of Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi.
Suresh Menon is Dabboo. Cute and adorable, he’s everybody’s pet and however far gone the rest may be, when it comes to Dabboo, everybody’s super protective. Even if he can hear and understand, Dabboo refuses to speak. And nobody knows why!
Dia Mirza is Shikha. As a TV reporter she controls the news on the channel, but as a woman she’s unable to control the unruly and unmanageable rage of Raja – the man she loves.
Rajat Kapur is Industrialist R K Sanyal, who’s also Dr Sonali’s husband. But in his quest for power and money he takes a step that will have alarming consequences for his wife and her patients – the krazzy 4!
Zaakir Hussain is Srivastav. He is so neck deep in illegal activities that now he’ll stoop to anything – even kidnapping and murder – to keep him ahead.
Producer- Rakesh Roshan/ Filmkraft Productions (India) Pvt. Ltd.
This producer/director/writer par excellence has never trod the beaten path but always done the unexpected. Whether it was Karan Arjun (1995) about rebirth or Koyla (1997) about mute love; Khoon Bhari Maang (1988) about a wife avenging her murderous husband or the light hearted Kaamchor (1982), Khel (1991) and Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) or Khudgarz (1987); Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000) that introduced son Hrithik in a double role, Rakesh Roshan has always explored new cinematic territory. Taking enormous risk at enormous cost for Koi… Mil Gaya, India’s first sci fi film; his intuition proved correct when the film went on to break box office records all over, besides winning Rakesh Roshan numerous awards for Best Film (including a National Award) and Best Director, while son Hrithik Roshan won every Best Actor Award that year for his stunning performance. At stupendous cost and even more risk, he dared to make the ambitious sequel to Koi..Mil Gaya – “Krrish” – and introduced the first Indian superhero akin to Batman and Spiderman. On par with the best of international cinema, Krrish was a magical combination of Rakesh Roshan’s skilled storytelling and direction, Hrithik Roshan’s acting finesse, state of the art visual effects and stunning action sequences.
With Krazzy 4, Rakesh Roshan hands over the directorial baton to Jaideep Sen even as he revels in the role of producer par excellence!
Director – Jaideep Sen
A die-hard film buff since childhood, Jaideep Sen decided as a raw teenager that films is where he wanted to be. And that’s where he’s been ever since! Starting off as an asst dir with Harry Baweja, he went to assist Raj Kanwar for six films, worked as associate dir with Sunny Deol on film “Dillagi” and joined Film Kraft in 2001 and worked closely with Rakesh Roshan on both Koi..Mil Gaya and Krrish.
So impressed was Rakesh Roshan with Jaideep’s dedication and willingness to learn that he has entrusted his next film “Krazzy 4? into his capable hands. The fact that this is the first film under the Filmkraft banner to be directed by somebody other than Rakesh Roshan, speaks volume for the faith he has reposed in his protégé.
Music – Rajesh Roshan
Rajesh Roshan, an integral part of the Roshan family and crew, has not only composed the music for all of Rakesh Roshan’s films, but also delivered super hit songs each time around.
He started his career as a music director in 1973 and shot to fame with his first film itself (Mehmood’s “Kunwara Baap”). He followed this up with hugely popular albums, including the award winning Julie, Khatta Meetha, Kaamchor and Yaarana.
He has composed award winning music for Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishen Kanhaiya, Khel, King Uncle, Karan Arjun and Koyla. His music for Kaho Na Pyar Hai outperformed all his past work and topped every music chart. He followed this stupendous success up with chartbusting musical scores for Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish.
