Delhi 6 is a very important film for Sonam

Sonam Kapoor, debuted alongside Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya but for over 13 months now she hasn’t had a single release after the film.
While her contemporaries Ranbir and Deepika Padukone appearing to zooming far ahead than her in their respective careers, Sonam is pining a lot of hopes on her next release, Delhi 6 which is all set to release on February 20th.
She had almost disappeared from the scene post Saawariya’s release without much news of signing big projects apart from Delhi 6. It is now learnt that she hardly has any projects in hand apart from Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6.
The actress is heavily banking on this film now. She knows well that if the film clicks she will have a lot of big banner films falling in her kitty.
With the promos of the film, just out, she seems to be excited by them as they majorly concentrate on her than the film’s hero, Abhishek Bachchan.

Sonam Kapoor might be considered chic and beautiful in B-Town but she’s miles away from acquiring international fame. In fact even her father Anil Kapoor has a long way to go!
The buzz is that she was totally ignored along with daddy dearest at the London Film Festival recently. Anil Kapoor was invited to promote the film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ in which he has made a guest appearance as a TV show host.
According to a source, “Anil was supposed to come with his wife but instead took his daughter Sonam. The reason behind this could have been to promote her to the outside world, outside of Bollywood.”
