Love Aaj Kal courts controversySaif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal, which is all set to release on July 31, seems to have run into troubled waters with the Sikh community.

But it looks like that the actor is leaving no stone unturned, so he along with his production team held a special screening of the film for members of the Sikh community.

The Sikh community had raised objections to Saif’s trimmed beard in the film plus a few scenes set in the Gurudwara.

“We decided to have this special screening for them because we feel that they are representatives of a larger community. We didn’t want to offend anybody,” said Imtiaz Ali, Director.

Charanjeet Sapra, President, Punjabi Cultural and Heritage Board says people had objections to the length of Saif’s beard and other romantic scenes shot in the Gurudwara. He said they would inform the filmmakers know by Friday over the issue.

But in spite of that Saif and his team seem to be optimistic. “I think they liked the film. They will let us know by Friday,” said Saif.

Seems like the cast and crew of Love Aaj Kal will have to take one Friday at a time at this rate.
